We love our children and care deeply for our community and all of its members including students, teachers, administrators, and parents.

So many families choose to make Darien their home because of the historically exceptional public school system here. 

However, under the leadership of Superintendent Alan Addley and his Administration, academic test scores have dropped while non-core and non-academic subjects like Social Emotional Learning (SEL) have taken on outsized roles in the classroom. The school day hasn’t gotten any longer and we believe less and less time is committed to academics. 

In our view, this has occurred due to lack of transparency from the Administration and past abdication of oversight by the elected officials on the Board of Education (BOE).
